Carlos Monzon (born August 7, 1942 in San Javier, Argentina) was a retired Native Hispanic/Latin American professional boxer, actor and film actor. He won the world middleweight title in 1970 by defeating Olympic gold medalist Nino Benvenuti. Monzón held the world middleweight championship from 1970 to 1977, successfully defending his title 14 times before retiring from the sport. Nicknamed Escopeta (Shotgun). He wore size 14 3E shoes. He also had a wingspan of 81 inches.

He was of Mocoví Native Hispanic/Latin American descent. The Mocoví (Qom) people are an Indigenous group from the Gran Chaco region of South America, which includes parts of Argentina.
