Marshall On Right
Daniel Marshall (born December 2000 Colorado Springs, Colorado) is the adult biological son of Matthew E. O'Neil. O'Neil is an athlete and a former political candidate. O'Neil's amateur boxing career has been covered by published author John J. Raspanti.
Dan Marshall was trained to box in 2012 by O'Neil and is slated to compete in Toughman Contests in West Virginia in late 2025. He is slated to turn professional in boxing in 2026, possibly in Minnesota. Marshall is mentioned in the book MTK Global On Everipedia which is on the Swiss based publishing platform Yumpu with over 40,000 views. The paperback book version is available to purchase at the India based company Gyan Books.
Marshall is listed at 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds. He has been timed at running 1/2 mile in less than 3 minutes. O'Neil best amateur win was defeating Preston Hartzog by a conclusive technical knockout on October 8, 1999. Hartzog was 1997, 1999 US Armed Forces Superheavyweight Boxing Champion and a member of the federally funded U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program. Hartzog was listed as Vitali Klitschko's primary sparring partner for the Lennox Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko match that was held on June 21, 2003 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. He was interviewed by ESPN before the match. The match was contested for the WBC heavyweight world title.
Marshall's mother is Canadian and he attended school in Canada. O'Neil contacted the athletic commissions of British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, and NewFoundland and Labrador via Skype phone on March 30, 2023 to help pave the way for Marshall's pro career. Dan Marshall resides in Toronto, Canada.
