Jeffrey Naquin (born July 20, 1971) was on the 1991 and 1993 LSU National baseball teams.[1] He retained his scholarship twice. There is only a two percent chance that a varsity athlete scholarship athlete will retain a NCAA Division I scholarship. Princeton University states that America's best athletes retain the scholarship for the top 32 teams NCAA Division I football, basketball, and baseball. Naquin was knocked out for a ten count by Matthew O'Neil in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 20, 1998. The bout was sanctioned by USA Boxing and facilitated by Lockheed Martin. O'Neil was in the Air Force Martial Arts program on Schriever AFB., Colorado at the time. The match is covered in the Amazon paperback book Everipedia Boxing Archives which was released in 2023.[2] Naquin signed sports memorabilia on Worthpoint. A picture on him playing high school baseball is available for purchase on eBay.
